If the result is positive, the removal becomes a job for a certified abatement contractor, and we're happy to work behind them once the space is cleared. If it's negative, we proceed with the removal ourselves.

Scraping a ceiling exposes whatever was hiding under the texture: unfinished joints, visible fasteners, old patches and board damage. Texture was often sprayed precisely to avoid finishing those things.
